We import this coffee directly from Maye Urbano, whose family has been cultivating coffee in Huila for over 40 years. This lot of Bourbon Ají reflects their experience and commitment to quality, with a sweet, structured profile and notes of berries, chocolate, and molasses.

This lot was fermented in sealed tanks for 24 to 48 hours after a brief rest in cherry, then washed and slowly dried over 15 days. It reflects the family’s deep care, tradition, and dedication to producing exceptional coffee.

From the Producer

For over 40 years, the Urbano Urbano family—led by my parents, Celestino Urbano and Maria Teresita Urbano—has grown coffee in Huila, Colombia, passing down knowledge and tradition from generation to generation.

My father, who began this journey, passed away two years ago. It was a difficult loss, but I’m doing my best to carry on his work. Coffee is something he loved deeply—and continuing to grow it feels like a way to stay connected to him.

Now based in Pitalito, our family cultivates several varieties. We hope you enjoy, sip by sip, the taste of a coffee made with pride, hope, and gratitude.

Durante más de 40 años, la familia Urbano Urbano—liderada por mis padres, Celestino Urbano y Maria Teresita Urbano—ha cultivado café en Huila, Colombia, transmitiendo conocimientos y tradiciones de generación en generación.

Mi padre, quien inició este camino, falleció hace dos años. Fue una pérdida muy difícil, pero ahora estoy haciendo mi mejor esfuerzo por continuar con su trabajo. Él amaba profundamente el café, y seguir cultivándolo es, para mí, una forma de mantenerme conectada con él.

Ahora, desde nuestra finca en Pitalito, cultivamos varias variedades. Esperamos que disfruten, sorbo a sorbo, el sabor de un café hecho con orgullo, esperanza y gratitud.
