About the Producer

Leodan Bautista Vásquez is a 31-year-old father of three and a proud third-generation coffee farmer. He started growing coffee 16 years ago, when his father passed down a piece of land to him — land that traces back to his grandfather, one of the pioneers of coffee cultivation in the area. Recognizing coffee's potential as a stable source of income, Leodan's grandfather and father planted the first trees on what would become El Caliche, laying the foundation for the generations that followed.

Through hard work, Leodan has since expanded the farm to five hectares. He's deeply committed to the tradition his family built, not only because it connects him to that legacy, but because it's what sustains his own family today. Despite the pressure of low coffee prices, he takes pride in providing for his children through his work, and he's focused on improving quality and securing better prices so his kids have access to more opportunities than he did.

Leodan's message to the people enjoying his coffee:

"Thank you for your support on this journey, friends. It allows us to continue walking this path alongside your projects. I hope to welcome you to our farms one day!"
